Apply for Funding: Association for Rural & Small Libraries Conference Professional Development Award

NNLM is excited to announce the Association for Rural & Small Libraries (ARSL) Conference Professional Development Award! Funding will cover registration and travel expenses up to $1500 per awardee. The conference will take place September 16-19, 2026 in Montgomery, AL. Participants will attend a pre-conference training focused on consumer health information, called “Healthy Roots, Strong Communities: Health Information Resources and Programming.”

Please share widely to reach as many qualified applicants as possible!

Application Deadline: June 15, 2026, 8:59 p.m. Pacific Time | 7:59 p.m. Alaska | 5:59 p.m. Hawaii several people around a table with information about funding award

Number of Awards: Up to 20

Amount: Up to $1500 per awardee

Eligibility: This award is open to library staff across the United States. Preference is given to those in rural and small libraries and those who have not received this award in the past. Please review theĀ definitions of small and rural. Applicants must be affiliated with an NNLM member organization. NNLM membership is free. Visit the membership webpage for more information.
