Congratulations to Technology Improvement Awardees

We are pleased to announce the the recipients of our latest round of  Technology Improvement Awards.

Online Health Information Outreach
Somali Community Services Coalition
SeaTac, WA

This award will equip a computer lab in which clients of the Somali Community Services Coalition can receive instruction on and search the Web for accessible healthcare and linguistically/culturally appropriate health information resources.

Sharing the S.T.O.R.E.: Slides, Theses, Our Recordings, Etc.
Birthingway Library
Birthingway College of Midwifery
Portland, OR
Project Manager: Kathryn Constant, Librarian

This is a digitization project to improve access to an extensive and original collection of slides, theses, sound and video instructional recordings, diagrams, handouts, and other materials produced at Birthingway College of Midwifery. Online access to this collection will benefit Birthingway College’s students, faculty, research partners, and healthcare provider partners. It will also help library staff to more efficiently respond to information requests from outside the Birthingway College community.

The purpose of this award is to improve NWRPCA’s capacity to present conference webcasts and stand-alone webinars to Community Health Center staff in remote locations. Providing opportunities for distance learning will extend access to important best practices information to health center managers, clinicians, board members and staff who are unable to attend training sessions in person.

Transmitting Documents Electronically Using a Networked Copier
Providence Willamette Falls Medical Center

This award will fund improvements to an existing electronic article delivery service for physicians, nursing staff, and administrators at Providence Willamette Falls Medical Center.
