Funding Detour Ahead

Detour Ahead SignAs NNLM transitions its website to the new version on https://nnlm.gov, Region 6 has redirected our funding opportunities to a temporary site here. We will be updating the funding packet links as they become available. We thank you for your patience!

Other opportunities to work with Region 6 in the new Cooperative Agreement with the National Library of Medicine include the Partner Outreach Program and becoming a  member of the Region 6 State Advisory Group.

 

The deadline to apply for the following awards is 02 August 2021. 

The Data Award supports implementation of data science or data management projects that advance the goals and objectives of the NLM Strategic Plan for building a data-driven workforce and enhancing data services and open science.

Period of Performance: October 1, 2021 – April 30, 2022
Amount: Up to $15,000
Expected Number of Awards Available: 1
Region 6 Subaward Program 2021-2022: Data Award

 

The Digital Access Award supports projects that address broadening online health information access and developing digital literacy skills to advance health information equity with meaningful engagement of diverse communities or populations.

Period of Performance: October 1, 2021 – April 30, 2022
Amount: Up to $25,000
Expected Number of Awards Available: 2
Region 6 Subaward Program 2021-2022: Digital Access Award

 

The Expert Speaker Award supports an expert speaker to train staff or present at a conference to increase use of NLM resources, keep current on topics related to NLM priorities, and build health information capacity for our network members.

Period of Performance: October 1, 2021 – April 30, 2022
Amount: Up to $1,834
Expected Number of Awards Available: 2

The Health Information Outreach Award supports building capacity with diverse communities and populations for accessing and using credible health information to improve personal health literacy and to advance health information equity.

Period of Performance: October 1, 2021 – April 30, 2022
Amount: Up to $20,000
Expected Number of Awards Available: 1
Region 6 Subaward Program 2021-2022: Health Information Outreach Award

 

The Public Library Collaboration Award supports partnerships between public libraries and other community organizations to build capacity for access and use of credible health information to advance health literacy and digital health literacy with meaningful engagement of diverse populations.

Period of Performance: October 1, 2021 – April 30, 2022
Amount: Up to $25,000
Expected Number of Awards Available: 2

Jacqueline Leskovec, MLIS, MA, RN (she/her) is the Network Specialist for NNLM Region 6. She is the lead for the Partner Outreach Program (POP), Network membership and user accounts, the Data Reporting System (DRS), and the Region 6 website. She has been with the Network since 2005. In addition to being a health sciences librarian, Jacqueline maintains her license as a registered nurse. She works from her home office in Chicago. She is well acquainted with power tools and will be happy to bore you with details of her many home repair and remodel adventures.
