Webinar on improving organizational health literacy for Deaf, DeafBlind, and Hard of Hearing (DDBHH) Communities

Posted by on September 9th, 2026 Posted in: Blog

Join us on October 6 for a webinar on improving organizational health literacy for people who are Deaf, DeafBlind, and hard of hearing (DDBHH). We are delighted to be hosting guest speakers from the Center of Deaf Health Excellence at Gallaudet University. CHES and CNE credit will be available.

The guest speakers will share research into the social determinants of health specific to the DDBHH community, as well as organizational practices that make health information easier for DDBHH patients to find, understand, and use. This presentation reframes health literacy as an organizational and structural responsibility, a matter of how health systems are designed, rather than a skill DDBHH people do or do not have.

The presentation will include time for questions and answers. ASL interpretation will be provided. Registration and more information here!
