Engagement and Information Dissemination: Building Health Literacy in Children

Posted by on May 30th, 2024 Posted in: Blog

NEC’s Principal Investigator (PI), Dr. Kristi Holmes recently published an article entitled “Health Literacy: A Two-Way Street.” This article is part of a larger collection at Frontiers for Young Minds, SPARK-ing Big Questions: What is the Future of Health Technology?

This special article collection was developed to connect kids in an age-appropriate way with the concept of health technology and was developed in coordination with the SPARKS! Serendipity Forum: Future Technology for Health event held at CERN. The SPARKS! Serendipity Forum brought together health technology experts from around the world to consider the future of this exciting domain.

Make sure to check out for the great resources referenced in the article that were designed and developed by NNLM Region 5, specifically the Diverse Voices in Health and Medicine Collection and MedlinePlus Tutorials for Community Health Workers.  Thanks, R5!
