We are thrilled to announce that Erika Martinez Picazo has joined the NEC team as an Evaluator. Erika graduated from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln where she completed her Masters in Agricultural Economics (2007) and a Masters in Educational Leadership (2017). For the last five years, she worked as a qualitative analyst for Research Support Services, a social research firm located in Chicago’s Northshore area. In this role, she participated in a number of projects conducting survey-based cognitive evaluations and in-depth interview and focus group analyses to evaluate public health, education, and social programs targeted to underrepresented racial-ethnic minority populations. She is a native Spanish speaker and spent many years volunteering in her community translating and serving as a liaison between Latinx families and the local school district.
