NNLM Member Survey Results Released

Posted by on May 30th, 2023 Posted in: Blog, Data Analysis, Questionnaires and Surveys

The 2022 NNLM Member Survey results were released this month. The first of its kind, this establishment survey was developed to gather baseline data on NNLM Member Organizations about their perceptions of the value and benefits of their NNLM membership, their preferences and awareness about NNLM services, and their own organizational capacity. There are many meaningful findings from this survey, but here are some key takeaways:

  • NNLM Training opportunities are important to members: NNLM training is the most valued benefit of their membership and also the single service that members are most aware about.
  • The minimum funding range that would entice member organizations to consider applying for funding is between $1,000 and $5,000.
  • Spanish and Chinese are the two main non-English languages used by NNLM member organizations in their work.
  • The two most-frequently mentioned communities served by the NNLM member organizations were Youth/Teens and Older Adults/Retirees/Veterans.

The NEC is grateful to all the Member Organizations who took the time to respond to this survey. We encourage everyone interested in learning more about these findings to visit the NEC Zenodo Community where you can read more in the Executive Summary.
