April is National Minority Health Month (NMHM)! Observed every April, raising awareness of the need for equality when it comes to accessing good health and medical care, regardless of one’s race, gender, or social class. NMHM,

The US Department of Health and Human Services, Office of Minority Health offers population profiles that can be used to learn more about the health issues affecting various racial and ethnic minority groups.
Libraries can play an important role in providing health education to help increase health equity. The NNLM All of Us Program offers a Resource Library, that libraries can use to engage with their communities, specifically about equity in biomedical research. These resources help to improve health and digital literacy in their communities.
National Minority Health Month demonstrates the importance of helping to reduce health disparities and improve the health of racial and ethnic minority communities.
