What does poetry have to do with medical education and practice?  Come find out!  NNLM Region 1 is delighted to host Dr. Irène Mathieu, poet and Assistant Director of Health Humanities at the University of Virginia Center for Health Humanities and Ethics for The Poetry of Pediatrics: Health Humanities in Practice Wednesday, February 15, 2023. 2:00-3:00 PM ET.  Dr. Mathieu will discuss how she integrates medicine and poetry in her work with pediatric residents.  We hope you can join us! You can register here.

Dr. Mathieu reads her poem “wish you were here” in the August 13, 2021 issue of Four Way Review.  For more information on her writing and books, check out her website.  For more information on Dr. Mathieu’s research and medical practice, see her profile on UVA Health.
