Here is a run-down of the electronic journals available through the Public Health Digital Library. If you’ve seen notes on some of the journals while scrolling through the PHDL, here’s some explanation.
Our total number of active journals is 248, these are the journals for which users have ongoing access.
We have discontinued access to 25 titles, these are journals which have had little or no use, access is generally available through 2016; these titles are labeled Inactive on the PHDL. More about this below.
We have added 27 new titles as requested or high demand through article delivery. These titles are labeled New for 2017 on the PHDL.
We have also identified 19 Open Access journals for inclusion in the PHDL.
You can see the entire list of journals on your PHDL, selecting Journals in the Filtering Options. Your PHDL titles are also findable in PubMed when you set up MyNCBI to Find PHDL Articles inPubMed.
NEW TITLES will display ‘New for 2017!’:
INACTIVE TITLES will display Inactive in the PHDL Journal List, you’ll have access up to 2016. Longstanding departments will be able to access previous years’ content in PubMed. New Departments may not have access.
More…
We’ve also labeled 11 journals ‘Not Indexed in PubMed’. Only citations available through PubMed Central will be found in PubMed. Users of these journals will need to access their content through the journal links in the PHDL.
