The NPHCO has added 2 new databases to the PHDL!
PolicyMap is a mapping tool that allows users to dig deeper into place-based data and gain insights to help find solutions to the most tractable issues. The new PolicyMap combines our extensive data indicators with a contemporary, state of the art mapping platform and expanded analytics. PolicyMap offers online mapping with data on demographics, real estate, health, jobs and more for communities across the US.
PolicyMap contains over 150 data sources. Please visit the PolicyMap website for more information on their data sources.
NPHCO’s Education Department will provide training on this tool soon. In the meantime, you can access PolicyMap support page where you will find tutorial guides, webinars and FAQs on how to use the PolicyMap site.
National Library of Medicine’s HealthReach has also been added to the collection. HealthReach is a collaborative partnership that has created a database of FREE multilingual, multicultural health information and patient education materials for those working with or providing services to people with limited English proficiency (LEP).
HealthReach contains a diverse collection of materials developed by hospitals, clinics, community health centers, government agencies, academic institutions, and national non-governmental organizations who provide a broad range of public health services. Formats include documents, audio, video and illustrations.
