Working in public health always presents a shifting landscape. No one state or municipality has the same challenges. Fluid situations require quick pivots with just-in-time training and learning opportunities made available quickly. The TRAIN Learning Network, supported by the Public Health Foundation fills this gap. TRAIN.org is the portal to accessing these training opportunities. Whether you are looking for a lunch-n-learn opportunity or need to complete a course to get some CE credits, the TRAIN Learning Network can help.
With 97% of courses free, you will find relevant content for you and your colleagues in public health. Topics range from everything to Covid-19 vaccination to PFAs contamination in water. A few public health departments are affiliates and use TRAIN to contain the training for their onboarding process. With TRAIN’s robust and efficient reporting, compliance with the completion of training is easy to track. As a service to public health departments, TRAIN through the Public Health Foundation offers the creation of customized COVID-19 contact tracing courses.
If you would like to join TRAIN, registration is free to the public health workforce, and courses are regularly added and listed on their calendar. Click to learn how to use TRAIN and access their tutorial video library.
Here at NPHCO, our office will have courses added in the coming months that will offer Certified Health Education Specialist (CHES) CE credit. Look for future blog posts and newsletter issues for upcoming scheduled sessions.
